Sharing the SWC Lifts brand with the world.
Another proud shipment is on its way overseas, and it says a lot about the lifts we fit right here at home.
Right now, on the other side of the world, delivery vehicles are being fitted with a South African-built tail lift. Ours.
Another fully loaded container of SCL500 lifts has left our factory, bound for business owners who have already put SWC Lifts to work and came back for more. More than 11,000 kilometers later, every one of those lifts will arrive ready to work.
This is the story behind that container: why it matters for South African jobs, what it takes to get it there, and what it means for your fleet.

A repeat export order of South African-built SCL500 tail lifts has shipped overseas.
Orders like this keep skilled manufacturing work, and the local suppliers behind it, in South Africa.
They're the same lifts we fit to South African fleets: same factory, same load tests, same 3-year warranty.

Why ship a tail lift halfway around the world?
Because the problem it solves is the same everywhere. A delivery that can't be offloaded is a customer let down, whether that customer is on the other side of the world or down the road from you.
You know how the day goes. The truck is full, the customer is waiting, and your driver is left working out how to get heavy stock off safely. Backs get strained. Routes run late.
That frustration is exactly why SWC Lifts exists.

Not a first order. A repeat one.
This container is a repeat order. That matters more than any first sale, because nobody reorders a product that let them down.
These business owners have run SWC lifts through real routes, real loads and real weather. They've seen how the lifts hold up after months of daily use, then came back and asked for more.
No sales pitch did that. Years of lifts that arrive, work hard and keep working did.

What one container means at home
Export orders are counted in lifts, but their real value is counted in work. South African manufacturing lost about 90 000 jobs in the year to the first quarter of 2026, according to the TIPS Real Economy Bulletin. Against that, every order that is built here and sold abroad keeps skilled work in South Africa.
A container like this one doesn't only keep our own factory floor busy. It keeps work moving for the people around us: the South African suppliers of steel and components we buy from, the businesses that help us finish and pack, and the transport and freight teams that get every lift to the port.
And the money earned abroad is spent at home: on South African wages, South African suppliers, and the local stock of spare parts that keeps fleets here moving.
“That kind of trust can't be bought. It's earned, one lift at a time.”

Packed like it's going to our own yard
Shipping lifts across an ocean leaves no room for shortcuts. Every lift in that container was built and tested by the same team that fits lifts to South African fleets every day, then packed, strapped and sealed to arrive exactly as it left.
Every lift carries our name into someone else's business. It has to live up to that the moment the container doors open.
Built here. Trusted there.
Here's the part that matters to you: the lifts in that container are the same lifts we fit to fleets across South Africa. Same factory, same team, same load tests, same warranty.

Picture your drivers offloading in seconds, finishing their routes on time and going home in one piece. Picture customers who get their orders when you said they would. Fleets on the other side of the world already have that, and there's no reason yours shouldn't.
The difference is that you don't have to wait for a container. Because we build here, our spare parts are here too, our Service Centre is here, and our 24/7 nationwide breakdown support is one phone call away.

TRUSTED WORLDWIDE.
Meet the lift that made the trip: the SCL500
Compact, tough and made for vans, bakkies and light commercial trucks, the SCL500 lifts up to 500kg so your drivers don't have to.
It's made for the work most delivery fleets do every day: frequent stops, mixed loads and tight schedules. Instead of stock being lifted down by hand, it's lowered safely to the ground at every drop.
It's the lift business owners abroad keep coming back for, and it's ready for your fleet too.
Questions fleet owners ask us
Where are SWC lifts built?
In South Africa. Every SWC lift is built and tested in our own factory, whether it's going to a fleet down the road or overseas.
Which vehicles does the SCL500 suit?
Vans, bakkies and light commercial trucks. It lifts up to 500kg, which makes it a strong fit for courier, retail, food and parts deliveries with frequent drops.
Is it covered by a warranty?
Yes. Every SWC lift comes with a standard 3-year manufacturer's warranty, in writing.
Can SWC service a tail lift from another brand?
Yes. Our Service Centre repairs and load-tests all tail lift brands, not only our own. More answers in our FAQ.
